Attendance Tracking Check-in Check-out behaviours

When using Lumi Text Vote talk and Lumi Register, you can pull attendance data based on the connected handsets.

Below outline the expected bahaviour when performing a particular action.

In order to test you will need

  • a licenced HASP USB Dongle with TVT module
  • Lumi Text-Vote-Talk
  • Microsoft Excel
  • Smartcards
  • IML Connector Base Station and handsets

Behavious connected in room

Removing a smartcard from a handset and re-inserting when in range of a base station does create a check-in and checkout time

Swapping cards between handsets when in range of a base station does create a check-in and checkout time

Possible behaviour before event

Changing a database does check out a smartcard

Returning to a database does check in a smartcard

Having a handset with a smartcard inserted before a base station is initialised does not create a check-in time when the base station becomes active

Possible behaviour during event

Going out of range of a basestation with a handset and smartcard inserted does not checkout the smart card

Returning into range of a basestation with a handset and smartcard already inserted does not create a new check-in time

Going out of range of a basestation with one handset and returning with a new handset does not create a new check-in time or check out time in the card was swapped out of range of the base station

Turning off a handset whilst smartcard inserted and re-inserting the smartcard into a new handset doescreates a new check-in time and does not checkout the previous record. A duplicate time stamp will populate the unsuccessful checkout next time the smartcard checksout.

Possible behaviour at Lunch when the the handsets are docked

Possible behaviour at Lunch when the the handsets are docked

Docking a handset with a smartcard inserted on connect on charge does not checkout a smartcard

Removing a docked handset with a smartcard inserted on connect on charge does not create a new check-in time

Changing smartcard whilst a handset is docked on connect on charge does create a new check-in time for some but not all handsets. Doing this multiple times some handsets would create a new check-in time and not populate a checkout time. Some handsets would populate previous blank check out times with duplicate checkout times but also create a new check-in time

Docking handsets with a smartcard inserted into charge only does not create a check out time

Swapping smartcards whilst docked in charge only does not check out the previous record.

Undocking a handset with a smartcard inserted from charge only does create a new check-in time

Changing to a base station\network does not check out the smartcard or create a new check-in

Disconnecting both base stations does not check out the smartcard but does create a new check in record. A duplicate time stamp will populate the unsuccessful checkout next time the smartcard checks out.

Docking Handsets with a smartcard inserted in to an off case does not check out the smartcard

Turning the handset dock to connect on charge does create a new check-in record and does not check out the previous record. A duplicate time stamp will populate the unsuccessful checkout next time the smartcard checksout.
